De Zevenster is a public school for special education and secondary special education and specializes in education for children with very learning difficulties. The school is located in a safe and well-organized building in the center of Lelystad. The school has a beautiful playground and there is a lot of greenery around the school, as well as a greenhouse where education is also provided.
Before getting admitted to the school, every child needs an admissibility statement which will be requested by (mostly) the former regular school.
The school has approximately 140 students, divided into 12 groups.
